The growth of online job boards and networking sites means many more opportunities - but also many more challenges in concealing a job search from colleagues. What do Americans think about privacy when searching for a job? Are job seekers taking the necessary precautions to keep their hunt under the radar? A recent study by Wakefield Research for Theladders has some interesting answers. 76% do not think it is even possible to keep an online job search private 88% 55% think privacy is important when searching for a job say keeping their resume private from their peers is more important than maximizing exposure 64% would not accept an invitation to connect with a recruiter on a networking site if their coworkers could see their connections 30% say it would be worse if coworkers found out about a job search than an office romance ©2012 TheLadders.com
