M****^*^* 100% of GEN DUO MEN think they make most pet purchases together as a couple. ...but, Gen Duo women see it differently! 4444444444 60% of GEN DUO WOMEN feel they handle the pet purchases alone. To the contrary, pet chores are something that Gen Duo couples can agree on. 100% of GEN DUO MEN and 71% of GEN DUO WOMEN think they share in health chores. 80% of GEN DUO MEN and 73% of GEN DUO WOMEN think they share in playtime. 80% of GEN DUO MEN and 67% of GEN DUO WOMEN think they share in training. WHAT IT MEANS There's equality in how Gen Duo couples split up pet chores, but there's still a (perceived) inequality in how they tackle pet shopping trips. For pet brands, this could mean there's an opportunity to get men more involved in the pet shop. Since Gen Duo men are taking more of an interest - whether they are acting on it or not - there might be ways to engage them in-store around the chores we already know they have interest in (health, playtime and training). One might imagine a 'Dad and Dog Demo Day' or a brand-sponsored 'Dad and Dog Derby' to make that connection happen.
