THE INTERNET HOW DOES IT WORK? SUPPOSE you want to access Facebook. Or watch Netflix. Or do both while balancing a bowl of tortilla chips on your head and spinning a hula hoop and breakdancing cause that would be freaking awesome By typing in the web address in your browser, you tell your computer, "I WANT TO GO HERE." Your computer, also called a CLIENT, then connects to your ROUTER, which routes your request to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Peeps like Verizon, 2 Comcast, Time Warner, etc. Percentage of Population that uses the Internet 78.6% 34.3% & of North America uses the internet of the world uses the internet 3 Verizon, which is directly connected to the enormous interconnected system of wires and cables called the INTERNET, then uses the internet to send your request to where Facebook is located.
