Installing Your Artisan Barn Door

INSTALLING YOUR ARTISAN ARTISAN BARN DOOR NW BEFORE YOU INSTALL HARDWARE 1. Your door should be 1-2" wider than the doorframe on each side. 2. Make sure the track is level. 3. Pre-drill any holes needed through studs. TRACK 1. Hang track above door opening, depending on hardware style and doorframe (1/4-1/2" gap between top of door and bottom of track). 2. If holes are not pre-drilled, locate studs and mark them along the track. Drill through with 3/8" drill bit. 3. Hold up track at determined height and place al 1/2" spacer between the track and the wall. A lag bolt will enter the track through the spacer, and enter the wall. TRACK STOPS 1. Place stops on each end of the track (or wherever you want the door to stop). 2. Use a 1 3/4" tap bolt to attach the stop to the track. DOOR 1. Determine the best location for the door straps and mark off where the holes on the straps will go. 2. Drill through the door at the markings (3/8" pilot bit). O 3.
