LONDON, U.K. Yellow Lines Flower Painter Where: Located on the side of a working mans' club at the corner of Pollard Row and Pollard Street, London. POLLARD STREET What: A double yellow line turns into a huge yellow flower - with artist 'self-portrait. Artist: Banksy Fact: The elusive Banksy is perhaps the most famous street artist in the world. His piece "Keep it Spotless" sold for a record $1.87 million in 2007. LOS ANGELES,CALIFORNIA Peace Elephant Where: The West Hollywood Library on San Vicente Blvd. in Los Angeles. What: A gigantic silhouetted elephant with a large vibrant backdrop that features a sun and a few floral designs. Shepard Fairey Artist: Fact: Fairey is an American contemporary street artist, graphic designer activist and illustrator who emerged from the skateboarding scene. He became widely known during the 2008 U.S. presidential election for his Barack Obama "Hope' poster. PARIS, FRANCE Women Are Heroes Where: By the River Seine in Paris. What: A gigantic image of a woman's eye - part of JR's "Women Are Heroes" exhibit where he covered public spaces across the globe with images of women. Artist: JR Fact: JR has exhibited his giant black-and-white photos in cities all over the world from Japan to Palestine to New York. JR won the TED Prize for 2011 - a prize awarded annually to an exceptional individual. NEW YORK, U.S. The Kissing Sailor Where: Side of an apartment building on West 25th Street, Chelsea, New York. What: An American sailor kissing a woman in a white dress in Times Square, New York City. Artist: Eduardo Kobra Fact: Eduardo Kobra is a Brazilian artist who is known for creating large scale colourful murals infused with rainbow patterns that catch the eye. BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA Pedro Luján and his Dog MARTIN RON Where: A factory building in Barracas, Buenos Aires. What: A giant turtle flying out of a hole in the wall and an old man and his dog. Artist: Martin Ron Fact: Martin Ron is one of the pre-eminent street artists in Argentina. He paints hyper realistic surrealist imagery on a huge scale. He has painted more than 80 murals in the county of Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires. MOSCOW, RUSSIA Giant Glasses What: A giant pair of glasses extending from a lamp post into the snow. Artist: Pasha P183 Fact: Pasha P183, whose real name was Paval, was a graffiti artist whose identity was never known and whose politically charged messages drew comparisons with Banksy. He died unexpectedly on April ist, 2013 at the age of 29. KATOWICE, POLAND On/Off Switch Where: The side of an apartment building in Katowice. What: A 3D mural of a giant light switch. Artist: Fact: Escif Escif hails from Valencia, Spain but has gained world exposure with his tongue-in-cheek murals that display political, economic and social issues. OEF MONTREAL, CANADA Where: South of Prince Arthur Street, Montreal. What: The two creatures in this work embody the artist's signature style of using primary shades of red, blue and yellow to create a unique pattern. Artist: Jason Botkin Fact: Botkin is a Montreal native. He has exhibited in Canada, the United States, and Europe, and is the Co-founder and Director of EN MASSE, an ongoing series of large-scale, multi-artist collaborative black and white murals.
