how we built our STARTUP by BLOG BRANDS N° 1 EARLY STAGE For more than two years BonB promoters studied the relationships between brands and bloggers. The initial idea arised during a blogtrip, a familiarization trip with a destination for bloggers. Both founders learned about the two sides of the business. As bloggers, and as a PR agency. Various needs were detected, and they began to outline a web APP that would meet those needs. They set out to create an optimized system of relations to cover the gaps identified so far. They studied the possibilities and decided to go ahead by bootstrapping. MINDMAP: In the early stages of development we draw a mind map with a detailed outline of the sections and features. It was later }1 used as a roadmap. N° 2 THE BEGINNING 3 We defined the features based on the needs. 4 Desired features were analyzed and essen- tials were decided. 2 We outlined a flowchart. We drew up a list of arguments about the service. We built the architecture and determined the dis- tribution of the content. WIREFRAME: We designed a prototype or wireframe that would work as gui- deline for development and design. N° 3 DESIGN INTERFACE STYLE The interface is developed to satis- fy the user experience. It aims to be simple and intuitive. We have defined a style that per- meates all the graphic and visual elements of the platform. BRANDING RESPONSIVE Our identity is built based on aesthetics and philosophy. From the logo to the way we work. The design of the website fits to all devices: tablets, computers, smartphones... N° 4 DEVELOPMENT > PHP The application is developed on PHP programming language. O API We have used many APIS of third party web applications. O VPS The infrastructure is built on a robust Virtual Private Server. N° 5 STRATEGY CONTACTS: We held several meetings with different brands belonging to strategic industries. PARTNERS: We stablished relationships with potential partners and reached agreements with various PRs. EVENTS: Attendance at the following events and trade shows: EBE, FITUR, World Travel Market London... SPONSORSHIP: We sponsor some events: Travel Bloggers Meeting Tarragona and SITC. CONFERENCES: Conferences are offered at Travel Massive, TBM, EBE Euskadi, Betor-Enpresa Digitala... CONTESTS: TIE Awards Silicon Valley, CICD Startup Competition, Entrepreneur XXI... INTERNATIONALIZATION: Meetings in London Tech City, Google Campus and Central Working (London). GASTRONOMY TRAVEL FASHION TARGET: Three major strategic industries were detected, in which we focused the initial business plan. N° 6 MEDIA PRESS TV We held a strong media manage- We managed the participation of the promoters in various inter- views and TV programs.. ment. The APP was featured in the traditional and digital media. RADIO BLOGS We reported on the innitiative to the community of bloggers, and we started to write a corporate blog. Talks on several radio stations to share our experience and explain how the platform works. We keep conversations with users and we answer to their questions. PINTEREST INSTAGRAM It is mainly used to build and spread the graphic and visual style of the platform. We use it mostly to inform about Blog on Brands team's trips and everyday life. N° 7 TEAM The Barking Blogs cooperative company, founded by Haritz and Rebeca Rodriguez, is the main ideologue and promoter of Blog on Brands. However, it has enjoyed the help and services of other companies and organizations.
