Academic Earth took a look at a recent report that breaks down how your tuition dollars are spent across public, private, research, and community colleges. What was found is that much of the increase in cost has been to offset declining tax revenues and the underperforming endowment portfolio. In the end, it is important for universities to maintain transparency as to how tuition dollars are spent to keep the public (and students) informed on how resources are being allocated.
