How TPR Can Help the Planet

How TPR can help the planet TPR is made using human 1 ton of CO2 is emitted for every ton of cement produced energy, not fossil fuel energy. Annual production of concrete is about 2 tons per person on the planet TPR is a world leading new- tech building material developed and made in Britain The world makes more concrete than any other material and accounts for 5% of the world's CO2 emissions. TPR is made from plastic diverted from landfill and minerals bonded with a resin that is a waste product of the oil industry All waste used to manufacture TPR is traceable and non-toxic 75% of UK consumer plastic is sent to landfill, nearly half as much again as the EU average Plastic takes up to 1000 years to degrade in landfill and 400 years in the oceans. TPR has been tested to UK and EU standards and is now specified by councils, utility companies and the MoD UK consumption of plastic is now 5 milion tons p.a. The volume of waste plastic diverted from landfill to make one TPR shed is the same as the volume of an elephant brodco.co.uk 10,000 tons of incinerated waste provides one job. 10,000 tons of land filled waste provides 6 jobs. 10,000 tons of recycled waste provides 36 jobs.
