HOW TO LAUNCH A NEW PRODUCT WITH A BANG Looking to launch a new product? Think that a high-risk, high-reward event for press and consumers is the way to go? Then you've set yourself a big challenge. But it might be the best way to set your product off. So, to help you ensure that the event pays off, we've put together a few tips on how to organise a product launch event that works. Drum up interest First of all you're going to need to attract the right people to the event. Relevant press, media, and influencers should be at the top of your list. It's these people that are going to be the ones with power here. They can make or break your product as they see fit. Going for a famous name always helps too. Don't just pick any famous name though; you should really be looking at someone who has generated fame through something related to the product you're launching. Stay on-brand Consider your audience carefully. What about this event will attract them? What would they be expecting to see? Stay true to your company's image and branding and make sure you make your target audience happy! Keep your mind on the purpose Remember that while you're event is about having fun, it's also a promotional exercise. And so you should be looking to push your product at every opportunity. There's no ham in doing it either, everyone in attendance knows that they are there to see the product at work, so grab every chance you can to show it off. Utilise Social Media Encourage everyone there to take pictures with the new product and post it out onto social media. You could even create a hashtag for the event, that'll help generate a buzz outside of the building too.
