How To Eat Gluten-Free Abroad

HOW TO EAT GLUTEN-FREE ABROAD A gluten free diet should not prevent you from travelling or enjoying overseas holidays; it just takes a little preparation to make sure everything runs smoothly. PLANNING ATRIP Contact tour operators, hotels and/or airlines to inform them that you will require gluten free meals. If travelling independently ensure your dietary needs can be met. Note down what local foods are suitable to eat. In case of emergency, pack some gluten free snacks in your luggage. Remember that there may be limited food options available at airports etc. If you have coeliac disease make sure your insurers are informed of this. Many insurers do not charge extra for coverage for coeliacs, so if they do, shop around. When you check into your flight and arrive at your accommodation, make yourself known and double check that gluten-free options have been arranged.
