How To Clean A Keurig Coffee Maker

K-Cup area HOW TO CLEAN & DESCALE KEURIG A Keurig YOU WILL NEED Water reservoir Drip tray White vinegar (Optional: Keurig Decaling Solution) Fresh Kitchen towel or Keurig 2.0 maintenance Tooth brush water microfiber accessory (If you have a 2.0 machine) cleaning cloth Paper clip Dish washing liquid All-purpose cleaner Drinking straw 1 STEP 1 REMOVE ALL REMOVABLE PARIS Unplug the machine Never clean or take apart your Keurig while it's plugged in. Make sure you are working in Remove lid and water reservoir 355 When removing the water reservoir make sure that you don't misplace the O-ring otherwise your Keurig will leak the next time you try to use it. a well-lit room that is free of clutter. You may have to wiggle the paper clip inside the holes Clean K-Cup Area With A Toothbrush Use a toothbrush to Clear Water Line With A Straw remove coffee grounds in and around the K-Cup holder space. Locate the water line spout and connect the straw to it. You may have to use your fingers to help make a seal. Blow air through the straw to help try to dislodge any debris inside the water line. Clean With All-Purpose Cleaner Use microfiber cloth and all-purpose cleaner to clean the outside of the machine. We Clean Water Reservoir & Mesh Remove the water reservoir and empty it. Remove the water filter if your Keurig has one. Turn on your tap water full stream and allow it to run over the mesh filter inside. This will help dislodge any debris. recommend spraying cleaner on to the cloth instead of directly on your Keurig coffee maker. STEP 3 DESCALING WATER 33% WATER VINEGAR 67% VINEGAR WATER Run a brewing cycle and dispose of the hot vinegar until the reservoir is empty Reassemble Fill the water Refill the Brew hot water reservoir with 2/3 white vinegar and 1/3 fresh water reservoir with and discard until the reservoir is empty your Keurig fresh water STEP 4- FINISHED! READY TO BREW A FRESH CUP OF COFFEE!
