How to Build a Led Light? Building a simple LED light can be a great project for kids or adults just learning electronics. An LED light can be built using a simple circuit with an LED, a resistor and a battery. Once the LED light is soldered together, it can be placed in virtually any plastic case that has room for the battery and an opening for the LED light. STEPS Attach the red lead of the battery holder to one end of the 1K ohm resistor. Solder the free end of the resistor to the positive lead of the LED. The positive lead of the resistor is usually longer than the negative lead. Wire the black lead of the battery holder to one lead of the push button switch. Solder the other push button lead to the negative side of the LED. Connect the battery to the battery holder. Press the push button switch, and the LĖD should light up.
