A 2014 University of London study calls for 7 to 10 portions of fruits and vegetables a day to prevent premature death. The American Cancer Society already advised 9-a-day as a preventative diet! And other health researchers recommend several portions of oily fish a week.
So a health supplement should be more than just a top-up of vitamins and minerals. It should also add the sort of nutrients that are recognised as important in supporting long-term health.
