The first video to have ever aired on the station was none other than "Video killed the Radio Star, " by The Buggles. 1983 "Thriller" hits the music video scene Michael Jackson was the first artist to create a music video as a type of short film. "Thriller" is still considered by many as the greatest music video of all time, VIDEO HTS ONE 1985 Viacom Media creates Video Hits One, more typically known as VHI. MUSIC TELEVISION EARLY 2000's MTV starts producing regular pro- grams, which make less time for music videos to air, Considered the dark years of the music video. You Tube 2005 YouTube bursts onto the scene allowing for music videos to be both uploaded and viewed with the click of a button. CURRENTLY 2 billion videos are viewed on You- Tube daily, many of which are music videos.
