Who are Colorado’s K-12 students and how well are they being served? We integrated data from multiple sources: Colorado school grades, Colorado Department of Education, Harvard’s Kennedy School and the U.S. Department of Education to paint a rich picture of Colorado and its education system. First, we describe student demographics in Colorado and other states. Then we present student growth: how much test scores have changed over time. We conclude with a description of how well Colorado is preparing students for work and post-secondary education based on high school graduation rates and average ACT composite scores.
