Gender & Lung Cancer

What is lung cancer? Cancer that forms in tissues of the lung, usually in the cells lining air passages. The two main types are small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. These types are diagnosed based on how the cells look under a microscope. (i) Types of Lung Cancer (ii) Stages of cancer (iii) Symptoms of lung cancer Symptoms of lung cancer that may occur elsewhere in the body: NSCLC SCLC Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) Headaches Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) Limited Unsteady gait or memory loss Stage 1 Stage Facial swelling only in lungs and not in one side of the chest, Large cell Shoulder or back pain Bone or joint pain lymph nodes involving just one part of the lung and near lymph nodes carcinoma Symptoms of lung cancer that are in the chest area: Squamous cell carcinoma + + Extensive Persistent or intense coughing Coughing up phlegm or mucus Coughing up blood A change in color or volume of sputum Neck swelling Stage 2 Stage in lungs and spread to other regions of the chest or other near the lymph nodes parts of the body.
