Gas Prices effect on service industry

In April of 2011 the American Automobile Association released a report forecasting the effect of high fuel prices on Memorial Day 2011. Without viable transportation alternatives the graphic shows that when travelers pay more for gas they pay less for entertainment, food and other services which make up the only jobs left in many rural tourist destinations.
