as it sounds, this game thrills and boosts every football fan out there. The tournament consists of 32 teams competing to become the champions for the next four following years. Along with the teams themselves, hundreds and thousands of football die-hard fans make their way to the hosting nation to watch the entire tournament and support their favourite team. The infographic provides a quick glimpse of the World Cup Championship table that shows which teams managed to make it to the finals and won, starting from the 1930s. Furthermore, it gives a brief idea of the most successful teams to date.
The inaugural tournament commenced in 1930 and was held in Uruguay. The hosting nation managed to make its way to the finals against Argentina and were the proud champions of the first ever FIFA World Cup. Being the most widely watched sporting events in the world, there have been 19 tournaments held till date in various countries. The most recent one was held in South Africa, where Spain and Netherlands made it to the finals. Spain ultimately won and happens to be the current champions.

Next on line, Italy – yet another promising nation that managed to be the champions four times and runners up twice. Germany won three titles with four runner ups and makes it to the most successful teams in football history. Following them, Argentina, Uruguay, France, England and Spain are the other proud football teams, those have managed to be champions atleast once.
