The Failings of Eurostar EU INFRASTRUCTURE Eurostar's reputation takes another hit as yet another Eurostar train breaks down causing hundreds of passengers to be delayed and stuck out in the dark. Here we take a brief look at some of the other major Eurostar problems and breakdowns which have inconvenienced tens of thousands of passengers. December 2009 Four Eurostar trains broke down inside the Channel Tunnel after leaving France, with another train grinding to a halt in Kent during the rare and heavy period June 2000 21 February 2010 An evening service from Gare du Nord A Eurostar train travelling from Paris to London October 1994 derailed while travelling at 180mph. 14 people were treated with injuries, but there were no of snowfall that winter. broke down outside Ashford in Kent due The first preview train was delayed for over two hours due to technical to "technical problems".
