I WO Browser finds that the certificate was issued for that particular website only, and was signed by CA itself. THREE The browser checks that the whether the certificate is expired or not. FOUR If the certificate is not error free, the browser will give warning to the user regarding the insecure connection. If the certificate is valid and is not containing any error, then the browser will establish a secure connection. Browser shows a green padlock and "https" before the address of the website and hence one can move on with transaction process. https Other processes 1. The client needs to install the certificate in their web servers/websites. 2. The CA (Certificate Authority) exercises tight security measures to prevent any type of cyber crime. V Limited access given in physical data center in order to prevent the data from being tampered. V Use of tough cyber security domains like: - firewalls, intrusion detection, etc. to secure the keys. Whenever you visit a site which is not having any certificate installed in it, you should not trust the legitimacy of the identity of that site. Also any data (credit card details, passwords, etc.) given to that will not be protected at all. If you are visiting a site which is having certificate but the browser is showing an error message then you should confirm the security of the transactions carried out on that website before proceeding ahead.
