Iowa farmland is skyrocketing in price. Corn crops have tripled in value in five years (40% of U.S. corn goes to Ethanol); soybeans have doubled. The price increase is due to many factors including rising fuel and fertilizer costs, increasing demand from emerging markets and unsustainable population growth in China & India , a weak U.S. dollar, and low interest rates.
