This is our winning infographic about education and the economy created for NBC News' Education Nation. More on Education Nation can be found here: www.educationnation.com The infographic itself shows that an estimated 1.3 million students across all 50 states and the District of Columbia dropped out of high school in 2010. Cutting in half the number of high school dropouts for this single high school class could result in tremendous economic benefits. Using statistical analysis conducted by the Alliance for Excellent Education and its partners, this graphic--printable at 60”x48”--shows the potential impact cutting the high school dropout rate could have on national, state, and local economies.
