Almost half of all Americans (49%) have at least one of the three major risk factors for heart disease: high blood pressure, high LDL (bad) cholesterol and smoking. Two of these risk factors can be controlled through diet and exercise. Not to mention, many of the people who have these risk factors don’t even realize they have them. We hope to spread awareness around the risk factors for heart disease risk factors aw well as the most effective ways to lower them.
