First appearance The Impossible Astronaut' 2011 Microscopic swarming carnivorous creatures who's name means the shadows that meit the flesh' and capable of reducing a human to bare bones in milisoconds. The Vashta Nerada live in the darkness creating shadows wherever they go. First appearance 'Slence in The Library 2008 Probably the scariest of the new crop of monsters. The touch of an Angel sends it's victim back in time, allowing the Angel to feast on the energy of their uniived days.
