Dementia A global epidemic Dementia is one of the most significant social and health crises of the 21st century. The UK is hosting the first G8 Dementia Summit in London on 11 December, which aims to develop coordinated global action on dementia. Dementia must be declared an international health priority with a collaborative, global action plan and a shared vision for dementia research and care.
