Coupons have moved beyond the concept of being simple discount or scheme strategies and have assumed a strategic edge in the market. One of the reasons for such elevation in significance of coupons in business is their increasing popularity among the users. According to a research we conducted, 3 out of 4 respondents happened to have used coupons before; this comes down to an astounding 75%. Almost about 50% of the companies, i.e. 2.3 in 5, offer coupons to consumers. While this gives you an idea, the fact that the industry is worth over $ 100 million will give you a real testimony of the value that coupons carry in modern day marketing. According to an estimate, only in the year 2009, coupons worth $ 3.5 billion were used. This would have definitely risen in the following years.
