Your florist can always help you send the right message. Many people assign their own personal meanings - a flower. or colour that might remind them of a special event or moment in their lives. But all Roses have their historical meanings. Take a look at Urban Design Flowers quick guide! PINK Gratitude & Admiration Pink roses have a rich history that comes with being one of the longest existing roses known to us - in fact, pink roses have even been depicted in some of the earliest known pieces of art. WHITE Innocence & Sympathy White roses are used to express a number of different sentiments. Also known as the bridal rose, the white rose is a traditional wedding flower. In this sense, they are a representation of unity, virtue, and the pureness of a new bond of love. PURPLE Mystery & Elegance The purple rose meaning can differ significantly based on actual colour and different shades. The colour purple is often suggestive of mysticism, royalty and love. The light tones of purple will express love at first sight and real love, whilst the darker tones will reveal a much deeper and long-term love and relationship. YELLOW Friendship & Caring The yellow rose is often used to indicate happiness, friendship and caring, but certain combinations of tones could change the meaning to happiness with domestic life, or innocent friendship. The yellow rose adds an element of joy to any flower arrangement. BLACK Bereavement & Loss But the black rose doesn't always have to be twined with sadness, it has also been used to symbolize the start of new things, or a major change in the direction of life. For some, it has been used to inspire enthusiasm and signal a new lease on life. GREEN Relaxation & Life Green is life, abundant growth, constant renewal of life and energy. The green rose signifies the constant rejuvenation of spirit, and is therefore a messenger of cheerfulness.
