Clean Cities National Parks Initiative
CLEAN CITIES National Parks Initiative Clean Cities partners with the National Park Service to support the use of renewable and alternative fuels, electric drive vehicles and other advanced transportation technologies at National Parks across the country. These efforts help improve air quality and promote the use of domestic energy resources. Why does this matter? The newest park projects will be using hybrid electric and all-electric vehicles, installing electric vehicle charging stations, and doing idle reduction efforts. These efforts will save the equivalent of nearly 10,000 gallons of gasoline and 71 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year.
