In Australia people celebrate Christmas in a variety of ways, including family gatherings with the big family feast, the traditional candlelight service on Christmas Eve, decorating their house with lights, decorations and Christmas trees, this coupled with gift-giving to show their love for their families and friends. The Christmas shopping season is generally considered the busiest shopping period of the year. To better understand the Australian consumers’ spending habits during the Christmas Holiday Season, i-Link has conducted a poll study amongst our LiveTribe research panelists (N = 638) of which yielded a total sample of n = 555 Christmas holiday shoppers.
