Earlier this week we asked SodaHeads if they thought kids should be allowed to sue their parents to court over what they considered to be "bad parenting," tied to a unique case involving two siblings who (unsuccessfully) attempted to do just that.
Steven, 23, and Kathryn, 20, filed a lawsuit against their mom, Kimberly Garrity, for "bad mothering" -- seeking more than $50,000 for "emotional distress."
Just what made them so distressed, you ask? Receiving a birthday card with no money in it, getting zero care packages while they were away at college and being scorned for staying out at a party too long.
Thankfully, an Illinois appeals court has dismissed the case, saying that the mom's parenting was neither "extreme or outrageous."
