Women make up 40% of the global workforce, yet are still rarely spotted in chief executive position. Only 15 of the Fortune 500 companies are led by females, and the fair gender is barely represented across these sixteen selected industries. CXO Europe points out that women still earn on average 17% less than men for the equivalent role.
