Labour Party Conference 2012 – Leader’s speech. After Ed Milliband’s keynote speech this week I wondered if there was a good way to convey a summary of it’s key content and themes. The Labour leader impressed some doubters with his ‘One Nation’ address, but also attracted criticism over a lack of policy content. I produced this visualisation to provide insight into the talk’s main substance. The size of the font of each word is relative to the amount of times it was used during the 70 minute delivery to the conference in Manchester this Thursday (02 October 2012), and is shaped to reveal the outline of a person – a reference to discussion around the Labour Leader’s profile, which provided the title ‘Can you tell who it is yet?’.
