A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE HUMBLE CHAIR FROM THRONE 3000 TO THRONE THROUGH EGYPTIAN CHAIRS ВС In ancient Egypt chairs were for those of great richness and splendour. Fashioned of ebony and ivory, or of carved and gilded wood, they were covered with costly gems.
