I created this map after traveling through Bolivia and realizing how shockingly few roads were paved. Land-locked Bolivia is South America's poorest country. I wonder what effect the state of its roads--its primary method of transporting goods and people--has on Bolivia's economy. What benefits would we see if more of Bolivia's roads were paved?
