The DEA qualification is accredited by C&G: Level 3 certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment. GDA training: • For existing DEAS • 3 days of training covering the background to the qualification, the info needed for an assessment, and the procedures for producing a Green Deal report • An assessment day • Period of assignments and portfolio completion 2 Train as a DEA and/or GDA DEA training (mandatory for new entrants): • 3 days of training • Completion of a distance learning module • Assessment of the required portfolio • Accompanied inspection of a property • Closed book exam 3 Complete a portfolio The portfolio will include completed Green Deal Advice Reports and other various pieces. Portfolio The length of time it takes to complete the portfolio will depend on how quickly the information is assimilated, how much time you devote to the portfolio and the quality of work submitted. 4 Become approved You will then be able to complete Green Deal Advice Reports and Energy Performance Certificates. Once you're qualified, you will receive the following at no up front cost: • RDSAP9.91 software • EPC and GDA online reporting and lodgement facilities + full web support • You will then either need to sign up with a Certificated Green Deal Advisor business, or become a Certificated business yourself.
