How the Average American Stays in Shape, Or Doesn't... Did you know that half of Americans are much more than 40 pounds overweight? We asked thousands of people about their weight goals and exercise habits: 49%→ 51% of the responses focused on health and internal benefits were about how they look and the external benefts Out of those people this is what they said: Out of all of the people who cited part of their body: Confident/feel better/ feel better about myself Heal 8% Muscles/ripped Arms 18% 15% 2% Fit/fitness/energy/ Positive/never in shape/stronger/ feel good 20% Love handles give up/ focus/less stress/ happier 10% Six pack/abs 1% 13% Stomach/waist/ gut/belly/tummy 14% Butt/ass/hips 6% Legs/thighs Body 44% Healthy/healthier 44% Bathing suit/bikini 51% Dress 20% Out of all of the people who cited clothing: Jeans/pants Clothes/fit into a size 18% 11% We asked what the was stopping people from exercising...
