Annual Boat Related Deaths Every year, the U.S. Coast Guard compiles statistics on reported recreational boating accidents. These statistics come from accident reports that are filed by the owners and/or operators of recreational vessels that are involved in occidents. This includes the 50 states, five U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. The following statistics ore the primary contributing foctor that ended with death.
