HBCUs And The Rise Back To The Top

HBCUS AND THE RISE BACK TO THE TOP Obtaining a college degree has financial, health and social advantages, making higher education beneficial for both individuals and society as a whole. Yet graduation rates at most historically black colleges and universities have fallen over the last five years. Racial gaps in income and wealth, as well as lack of student financial aid, are major reasons for the decline. Because of this, the Allstate Quotes for Education program, in collaboration with the Tom Joyner Foundation, helps provide funds for HBCUS and scholarships for their students. Allstate will donate $10 to the Tom Joyner Foundation for each quote received up to $150,000. Also, you can vote for your favorite HBCCU, and the school with the most votes will win $50,000 from Allstate. With your support, students may have a better chance at obtaining a college degree.
