The Quest project is the first commercial-scale CCS project to be attached to any oil sands operation and a demonstration of Shell’s global commitment to advancing CCS technology. Shell is working to meet the world’s energy needs and reduce CO2 emissions using capture, injection and storage technologies to safely and permanently store CO2 2,000 meters (6,561 feet) below the earth’s surface.
