2013: BOATING INDUSTRY RECAP BY THE NUMBERS In 2013, the boating industry continued it's post-recession rebound. After an historic 10% rebound in 2012, last year saw a 5% increase in new boat sales. Some 88 million Americans took to the water in 2013, with a 5-7% growth rate expected for 2014. Sail and power boat sales (less than 26 feet in length) saw the largest increase in sales. Similar trends are expected to continue through 2016. Let's take a closer look at the numbers.
