10 Simple Stretches You Can Do While Sitting At Your Desk Hand Stretch Extend wrists back toward your body. Tighten fingers closed, hold for 3 seconds. Extend fingers, hold for 3 seconds. Repeat three times. Arm Stretch Interlace fingers and extend arms, palms facing away from body, and stretch. Interlace fingers and extend arms, palms toward ceiling, and stretch. Hold each for 10 seconds. Shoulder Stretch From a seated position, raise your shoulders toward the ceiling. Hold for 5 seconds. Repeat two times. Chest Stretch Clasp hands behind your head. Seated Hip Stretch From a seated position, cross one ankle over the knee of the other leg. and gently lean forward. Hold for 5 seconds. Seated Forward Bend With both feet flat on the floor, interlace fingers behind your back and straighten arms while bending at the waist. Hold for 5 seconds. Lower Back Stretch Sit forward in chair and bring one knee toward chest. Use hands to grab back of knee and pull towards you. Keep back straight. Hold for 3 seconds.
