Inner State Signs that you are happy
1. Daily Exercise. Happy people are also more likely to engage in health-promoting behaviors, according to a recent study at the University of North Texas. Additionally, the American Psychological Association had found that exercise decreases depression across all age categories and both genders.
2. Happy Friends. Each additional happy friend you have increases your probability of being happy by about 9%.
3. Smart thrills
Happy people don’t need to dive 50 feet into a gorge or snort cocaine in order to get their kicks. They’re content with reality, and understand that reckless leads to wreck more.
4. Enough sleep
Unhappiness hinders sleep, and a low stress level promotes a good night’s sleep. So if you’re feeling well rested, most likely you’re a pretty happy camper.
Making $60,000 more in annual income has less of an effect on your daily happiness than getting one extra hour of sleep a night
Those who constantly doubt their own judgement are especially prone to a wide range of psychological problems- such as mood swings, lower self-esteem, anxiety and depression.
6. Live in the now
When people’s minds drift from the task or activity at hand, they are less happy than when fully engaged in whatever they are doing
People spend nearly 47% of their waking hours with their minds wander…I’m sorry, what were we talking about?
Use the resources that you have. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, recognize and make the best of your own gifts. Grateful persons are characterized by the appreciation of life’s simple pleasures, and happy people feel more gratitude in their lives.
8. Bounce back
A baseline level of contentment is an emotional safe-harbor. Happy people leave occasionally for bouts of blues or bliss, but are able to return easily and naturally rather than constantly swinging from despair to euphoria
9. Get Unplugged
Want to be happier? Turn off the television. Research shows that people who spend the most time watching television are the least happy in the long run.
Happy people smile from the inside, their mouths turning up at the edges without their control
